Cobbler’s at Construction Site
There are not a few cobblers doing good things in the construction site of the new street in the Sopho area. Among them is an old man Choe Ki Jong residing in Singan-dong No. 3, Hyongjesan District.
Months ago, when he visited the construction site of the new street in the Sopho area, he made his mind to mend shoes of the shock brigade members who turned out for the construction with the will to live up to the respected General Secretary
Seeing the shock brigade members working hard, he thought that they would have no time to mend their shoes. So, the old man Choe began to mend shoes of shock brigade members at the construction site.
Since then, he has mended a lot of shoes, raincoats, safety hats, etc. for the shock brigade members.
Now the shock brigade members kindly call him "our old man cobbler".
Family of Tractor-drivers
There is a family of old man Kim Pong Chol being called "family of tractor-drivers" in Hunggyesu-ri, Samjiyon City.
Kim Pong Chol sincerely worked as tractor-driver for scores of years. Although the old man was retired, he has positively helped his children responsibly do their duties with the honor of the rural mechanization workers.
He has used to accompany his children on their service and repair tractors.
His wife Kang Kil Sun also actively helps her family members who work as tractor-drivers.
His eldest son and third son sincerely work as tractor-drivers.
His daughter and son-in-law being called couple tractor-drivers take the lead in farming.
His family frequently holds family meetings to ensure full operation of tractors.
This family is a pride of the farm, as it is devoting its wisdom and enthusiasm to the farming work with the honor of the rural mechanization workers.
