We Are Blessed with New Dwelling Houses from Generation to Generation

Last year, I and my wife moved into a new low-storied dwelling house not inferior to the apartment houses in the city.

On the housewarming day, I fell into deep thought looking round every nook and corner of the house including several living rooms, a kitchen and a wash room.

Suddenly I remembered the day when I had received the new house for the first time scores of years ago.

At that time, thanks to the benevolence of President Kim Il Sung, lots of rural dwelling houses had been built across the country as well as in my village after the publication of the socialist rural theses.

After receiving the nice tile-roofed house free of charge, I, the then young pupil, and my friends had run around the village with joy and also the brothers and sisters had sung and danced unaware of the passage of time.

Fathers and mothers, the farmers, had worked harder to repay the benevolence of the Party.

20-odd years ago our villagers had again moved into the new houses.

Then, today their children have become the masters of the new dwelling houses.

Indeed, our villagers have led a happy life from generation to generation in the new dwelling houses thanks to the Party’s love.

Not only our villagers but also all the farmers enjoy such blessings.

I think that this is the Party’s love shown to every farmer across the country and housewarming festive occasions seen in all farm villages.

I am sure that the farm villages across the country as well as Unbong-ri will be changed endlessly thanks to the love of the benevolent father.

Pride in Their Native Places

On the lunar New Year’s Day, I received a letter from my son undergoing military service.

In the letter, he said that some days ago, he raised a cheer full of great joy while seeing the housewarming scene of his village on TV.

And he wrote that in his unit, there are several soldiers who received the new dwelling houses, conveying that they are absorbed in pride in their native places and he and they made a promise each other to keep clear the farm villages associated with the Party’s love and do farm work well after the military service.

At the end of the letter he expressed his firm pledge to defend the country reliably, not forgetting the party’s love forever.

Reading his letter, I also determined to manage clear this house to show the perfect house to him.

So I planted more fruit trees around the house and arranged the flower pots by the window to facelift the environments.

Now to keep clear the inside and outside of the house every morning has become our daily task.

When we wonderfully manage one’s house and village, the pride in the native places of our children can be everlasting.

It is a unanimous desire of not only myself but also all the families of servicemen who moved into new houses.

I will do this year’s farm work well and thus repay with a bumper harvest the love of the Party which has provided the ordinary farmers with the same life as the citizens’.

Art Performance at Climax

An art performance was given in the new hall of culture in our farm to celebrate the auspicious February 16, the birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

On significant holidays every year, each work-team used to put on the stage programs they prepared, but I have never seen before such excellent performance as one held in the February holiday this year.

Calling for giving the significant performance to be held in the new hall of culture early this year with the boundless yearning for the Chairman, the Ri Party Committee published the performance plan to make each work-team prepare a program respectively.

Accordingly, the farmers, who have conducted the mass-based cultural and art activities more actively since the new hall was built, went to the hall in the evening after their daily work to exercise themselves in singing and learn musical instruments.

Thus we, farmers, appeared on the stage as performers.

The single intention to repay the Party’s love made our peasants be the real farmers in the farm field and the “famous performers” on the stage.

We, farmers, will lead a more civilized life as befits the agricultural workers living in the new era while singing to the full about their proud lives, which have been bloomed day by day under the care of the Party, in the new hall in the future, too.
