Favors Bestowed on Employees of Power Station

The respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un visited the Kumyagang Power Station No.2 one May day in Juche 108(2019).

Going round different places of the power station, he highly praised the proud achievements made by the people in Kumya County who built the power station, wealth of the country, by fully displaying the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance, true to the Party’s policy on building small- and medium-sized hydroelectric power stations suited to the specific local conditions so as to solve the power problem.

When he dropped in at the generating room he looked at the running generator No.1 for a while and learned about the amount of electric power production. He kindly asked why the generator failed to do at full capacity.

He was informed that it was because of the main transformer’s insufficient capacity and deeply worried about it.

He told the accompanying officials that the transformer in the township of Kumya County should be installed to suit to the production capacity of the Kumyagang Power Station No.2, expressing the will to provide a transformer.

At the moment a senior official of the county was deeply moved by the respected General Secretary who had promised to send a generator to the power station just before.

The official pictured the people who will lead a happy life.

Arousing People to Create Miracles

The respected General Secretary visited the construction site of the Phalhyang Dam of the Orangchon Power Station in July Juche 107(2018).

He told the accompanying officials that the Orangchon Power Station is like a lifeline for North Hamgyong Province and the province, cities and counties should not wait for supply of electricity from the state, but build power stations on their own to satisfy the demand of the electric power and that it is just our own way.

He stressed the need to finish the construction of the Orangchon Power Station in a short span of time to startle the world as we did in the construction of the Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station.

Listening to his saying, the officials recollected that during the construction of the Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station the Korean young people conducted within some 120 days the amount of work equal to what they did in the previous 10 years by working day and night with the courage and mettle given by the General Secretary and built the dam of the power station No.1.

Then he took the measure for supplying oil for transport of materials and other steps for the construction of the Orangchon Power Station.

Looking up to the General Secretary, the officials renewed their determination to work new miracles in the construction of the Orangchon Power Station.
