The respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un always pays deep attention to improving people’s diet life.

One Sunday in February, Juche 101(2012), the respected General Secretary inspected the Samilpho Special Products Factory.

Saying that three years had passed all too soon since he visited the factory with Chairman Kim Jong Il and the factory did a lot of works, he went round various production processes of the factory.

When he called in on the Makkoli (raw rice wine) workteam, he expressed satisfaction with the fact that all the processes for producing Makkoli ranging from milling to sterilization and injection were arranged on an assembly line.

After being informed by an official that the factory produces thousands of bottles of Makkoli and the Makkoli is popular among Pyongyang citizens, he was glad and picked a bottle of Makkoli on the display to pull out a bottle stopper.

At that time an official asked him not to try it as it was cold outside and the drink was a cooling beverage.

Giving him a light scold, the respected General Secretary said that he would try Makkoli as a member of people and ensured that all the accompanying officials tried Makkoli and estimated whether the Makkoli enjoyed popularity among the Pyongyang citizens in reality.

The officials were so moved by the warm love of the respected General Secretary who paid deep attention to even a refreshing beverage to be drunken by our people.

Saying that in the olden days our people used to drink Makkoli during the rest of the farm work in summer under the shadow of zelkova tree and sing a farmer’s song enjoying the blessing of good harvest, he added that the Makkoli produced at the factory was good to drink and people would like it, and that the factory should heighten the quality of Makkoli further to make it our people’s favorite foodstuff.

That day the respected General Secretary learnt in detail the issues arising in normalizing the production and took benevolent measures for it.

Indeed, it is the outlook on people and calculation method of the respected General Secretary that nothing should be spared for people.
