Scientists of the State Academy of Sciences in the DPRK have made achievements in carrying out the research tasks for major objects including the work to implement the Workers’ Party of Korea’s policy for regional industry development, build the Wonsan Kalma coastal tourist area, construct the 50 000 houses in the capital city, do the second-stage remodeling of the Kumsong Tractor Factory and turn Samjiyon City into a world-class mountain tourist resort.
The cooperation between institutes, branches and units has been deepened, with the result that several major research tasks were completed in the first half of the year.
They are conducting technical preparation for paper production process and technical guidance for the production of wheat grading machine, water purification equipment, etc. in the work to implement the Party’s policy for regional industry development.
They have also pushed forward to manufacture hundreds of equipment including soap production equipment, air purifier and plastic tank to be installed at regional-industry factories.
