On V-Day Morning

On V-Day morning this year, many medical workers of the Munsu Rehabilitation Clinic called at the room in which was Kim Kwang Ho, a special-class disabled soldier residing in Okryu-dong No.1, Taedonggang District.

Doctors and nurses presented bouquets and souvenirs to Kim congratulating the V-Day. They seemed to be his blood relations.

Kim Kwang Ho recollected the warm sincerity they have devoted to his health recovery.

All the medical workers of the section in charge held consultative meetings several times a day to take appropriate measures.

Kim Un Chol, a treatment expert, stayed all night beside the patient’s bed for many days.

Every day the nurses visited the patient with nutritious foods and materials for tonics to encourage him.

Thanks to their sincerity, Kim Kwang Ho’s health has gotten better day by day. …

Suddenly, several people entered the room. They were Kim Ko Ryo, who has formed kindred relations with the disabled soldier, and the youth league official Kim Yong Song and other officials and employees of the Bureau of Diplomatic Corps Affairs, who have visited the patient on high days and holidays.

The disabled soldier Kim Kwang Ho deeply felt again the gratitude to the socialist system of our country where all the people form a large harmonious family.

Those Who Got Special Service

On September 9, the national holiday, the Unpha County Noodle House was especially enlivened.

Dozens of women entered the noodle house receiving warm welcomes from the officials of the County and servants of the noodle house.

The women were wives of the servicemen of the 124th Regiment of the Korean People’s Army(KPA) who were dispatched to Unpha County.

There goes the story about the service:

Not long ago, a senior official of the County Party Committee inspected the construction site of regional industry factories. He was deeply moved by the wives of the servicemen of the 124th Regiment of the KPA who have worked together with their husbands, washed clothes of soldiers, cut their hairs and done other jobs. Then he determined to provide them with the special service.

That day, the wives of the servicemen felt gratitude to the officials and people of the county and hardened their resolve to do more work in support of their husbands.
