Officials and working people in the power industry field have turned out in the dynamic campaign from the outset of the new year to attain the fighting goal for this year set forth at the 11th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

According to data available, the thermal and hydraulic power stations have carried out the daily electricity production plan, which was more than last year, on January 1 and 2 without fail.

Party organizations of power stations across the country conduct brisk organizational and political work to raise the effectiveness of various agitation activities for increased production, including broadcasting, artistic agitation and visual agitation, thus further inspiring the producers with the revolutionary enthusiasm, fighting spirit and patriotic enthusiasm in the new year.

The officials and workers in the field of thermal power sector are putting the production of electricity on a high level by operating the generating equipment at full capacity.

The workers of the Pukchang Thermal Power Complex, a leading power base in the country, produces electricity by raising the capacity per generator to the maximum and strictly observing the requirements of standard operating methods and technical regulations in the management of equipment.

The officials, workers and technicians of the Pyongyang, the Chongchongang, the East Pyongyang and the Sunchon thermal power plants are devoting themselves to increasing the steam output by raising the operation rate of boilers, and ensuring the efficiency of generating equipment.

Those in the field of hydroelectric power sector, too, are putting spurs to the drive for increased power production with the will to glorify this significant year as a year of eye-opening and great turn.
