On the River Pothong which flows besides the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum in Pyongyang there is a U.S. imperialist spy ship Pueblo, the prize.
The heroic Navy of the Korean People’s Army captured the U.S. armed spy ship Pueblo which conducted spying in our sacred territorial waters on Jan. 23, 1968.
On Dec. 23 of that year, the Pueblo incident ended up in the DPRK’s triumph before the eyes of the world as it wrested a written apology from the U.S. squarely and exiled the whole of the crew from the country.
That day was recorded in the decades-long history of showdown between the DPRK and the U.S as a victorious day for the Korean people who humbled the arrogant U.S. imperialists once again and a defeat day for the U.S.
The Pueblo incident served as a historic occasion which proved once again the tradition of eternal victory for the DPRK and defeat for the U.S.
The Korean people’s will to defend the sovereignty and dignity of the country has remained unchanged as ever.
At present, our Korean People’s Army has developed into the powerful revolutionary armed forces equipped with modern attack means thanks to the Workers’ Party of Korea’s unique line of building the Juche-oriented army.
The Pueblo on the River Pothong shows the truth that if the U.S., oblivious of the lesson of history, escalates the tension, it is bound to face a dishonorable defeat without fail.
