Kimchi (pickles) is one of our people’s favorite foods and it is indispensable to our people’s dietary life.

Once the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un who pays deep attention to the people’s diet visited the Hwasong Kimchi Factory for the second time. At that time officials of the factory informed that they were selling Kimchi in different places of Pyongyang and collecting consumer feedback.

The General Secretary kindly told the officials that people in all walks of life have different tastes, stressing the need to learn about what kinds of Kimchi people like and make Kimchi suit to the people’s tastes and demands.

In the future, the factory should make its products popular among the people, he said, asking the accompanying officials if the pickles produced by the factory are more delicious than homemade ones.

An official replied that the employees of the factory said that the pickles produced by the factory are more delicious than homemade ones.

Then the General Secretary was so pleased and the officials of the factory were moved because the popular pickles produced by the Hwasong Kimchi Factory were unthinkable apart from his deep loving care and guidance.

In fact, the products of the factory had not been so delicious at first.

When the General Secretary visited the factory in the previous year, he earnestly requested that the pickles produced by the factory should be more delicious than homemade ones and other factories’ products.

Then he saw to it that raw material supply system was established properly and gave important instructions including the issue of realizing standardization of the production method at a high level.

Like this, thanks to the warm loving care of the General Secretary who loves the people most, the factory has produced Kimchi more delicious than homemade ones all the year round.

The respected General Secretary is, indeed, the great father of all the people in the country.
