To Constantly Improve Capability of Wheat Processing

Amidst the fierce flame of campaign to improve the people’s living standard under the wise leadership of the Workers’ Party of Korea a number of wheat processing bases across the country have been newly built or renovated.

The respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un clarified at the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee the methodological issues in orientating the country’s agricultural production to shifting the dietary culture of our people to the one with rice and flour food as staple food.

The work has been actively pushed ahead with to increase the wheat processing capacity in keeping with the increased annual wheat production and the changed grain production structure of the country since the historic plenary meeting of the Party Central Committee.

The Ministry of Grain Management and the wheat processing base construction command team went down to the relevant spots and exactly calculated the wheat production and the appropriate wheat processing capacity. On the basis of it they set the construction sites of the wheat processing bases and put forward the construction vigorously.

Thanks to their efforts the Haeju Wheat Processing Factory and the Sariwon City Grain Management Station have been built wonderfully as a model for other regions.

Nampho Municipality, Hamhung and Songrim cities, Pakchon County and other regions across the country have newly built or remodeled the wheat processing bases and thus increased the wheat processing capacity further.

In Singye and Kangryong counties the modern wheat processing factories of tens of thousands of tons of wheat processing capacity are nearing their inauguration.
