Glory Bestowed on Soldiers of Osongsan Post
One day in October, ２０１３, the respected General Secretary
Among the performers cheering in tears of excitement were those of the Osongsan Post whose company was visited by the respected General Secretary only four months before.
At that time, the respected General Secretary ascended the steep pass to visit them and took care of their life with paternal affection.
He granted a pair of binoculars, an automatic rifle and a machine gun to them and had a souvenir picture taken with them.
Still feeling uneasy, he again had pictures taken with each one of the soldiers.
That day, he expressed the greatest belief that, as there are the frontline soldiers firmly defending the gate of the country, our people can sleep in peace and he, the Supreme Commander, also feels secure.
Such great glory was kept in the hearts of the soldiers of the Osongsan Post.
Presently, the performance began and events full of militant stamina and revolutionary optimism came on the stage.
When the soldiers of the Osongsan Post appeared, the respected General Secretary said with great delight that the soldiers were familiar to him and that it was so good to see them who gained so much weight.
Feasting his eyes on the appearances of the soldiers who looked healthy and strong, the respected General Secretary recalled the day of his visit to the post and said with great satisfaction that the measures the Party had taken for the frontline soldiers seemed to have proved effective.
Looking up to him, the officials remembered how this meaningful reunion was arranged.
A few days before then, the respected General Secretary was informed that the soldiers of the Osongsan Post were going to take part in the ３６th Art Festival of Service Personnel.
Wrapped in gladness, he said that he missed those soldiers and he still remembered them who were seeing him off in tears, reluctant to say goodbye.
Then, he promised to make time to meet them in Pyongyang and watch their performance, too.
The officials looked again at the happy faces of the soldiers of the Osongsan Post with emotion.
It was not all.
On the day after the performance, the respected General Secretary came to the venue of photo session with the soldiers selected for the art festival and met the soldiers of the Osongsan Post again.
He waved to the soldiers shouting "Hurrah!" at the top of their voices and said that they looked sturdier than they were when he visited them in June that year.
His face was filled with endless joy.
Patting one of the soldiers on his chubby cheeks, he said in delight that they put on so much weight that he could barely recognize them.
He praised that they now looked like legendary generals and held his thumb up high to them.
That day, the respected General Secretary had another meaningful photo taken with them.
Indeed, no army in the world adorns the day of military service with glory in ties of blood with its supreme commander.
Such touching stories are kept not only in the hearts of the soldiers of the Osongsan Post.
All our service personnel are unanimous in saying that the great love and trust of the respected Supreme Commander are the source of world-startling miracles and achievements.
