For Great Heyday of Construction
Key Task Facing Designing Sector
One day in July, 2018, the respected General Secretary
Making rounds of the construction site, he learned about construction and asked the officials how many designs for the city construction had been made by Ryanggang Province.
The officials couldn’t readily answer him.
That was because the central designing institutions like the Paektusan Institute of Architecture were doing most of the designing for the city construction.
The respected General Secretary said that the central designing institutions should not ignore the regional counterparts though they were not good at designing, and that would hold back the independence and creativity of regional designing organs and the improvement of their level.
The officials looked back upon the past days when they pinned their hopes only on the central organs, failing to do everything in reliance on their own efforts and force.
That day, the respected General Secretary stressed that the regions should promote the development of designing sector in conformity with their characteristics and that it is the key task facing the designing sector to develop design which suits the regional characteristics.
His meaningful instruction taught the important principles which should be adhered to in today’s great heyday of construction.
Lecture on Greening Given on the Spot
One day in September, 2013, the respected General Secretary visited the construction site of the Mirim Riding Club.
Looking around the construction site, he saw the newly-planted trees in the artificial hill and asked the accompanying officials what species of trees they were.
Listening to the answer, he looked carefully at the trees and said that the needle-leaf trees were planted too closely together, which meant they had to be transplanted again in the future.
The officials looked again at the trees.
They could clearly see that the trees had been planted without any calculation.
Presently, he taught to ensure a combination of various species in planting trees.
That day, he also referred to the problems arising in greening and afforestation.
His instructions of that day were literally a precious lecture on afforestation and greening.
Core and Seed of Architecture
In May, 2016, the respected General Secretary visited the Natural History Museum before completion.
At the very moment when the accompanying officials were marveling at the peculiarity of the museum, he said that the elevation of the museum resembled that of a building remodeled not long ago.
He noticed at the first glimpse that they had failed to make the most of the characteristics of the project in forming the elevation.
Indeed, he didn’t tolerate any slightest shortcoming in the creation to be provided to the people.
He taught in detail about the solutions and continued that it was the core and seed of architecture to form the elevation in such a way that it could vivify the characteristics of the project.
Listening to his words, the officials more keenly realized that the new period of efflorescence of Juche-oriented architecture is brought to this land thanks to the wise guidance of the respected General Secretary, who is eager to provide the people only with the best things in the world.
