To Bring about Revolution in Education

No Tiny Flaw Should Be Allowed

In February, 2017, the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un visited the newly-built Pyongyang Primary School for Orphans.

That day he looked round various places of the school for a long time.

At an education room, he sat on a chair for pupil to estimate the space between the drawer and chair and gave instructions to set a bookshelf for books pupils use in common.

Seeing the chalkboard, he said that there should be a gutter and promised that he would send a sample of chalk eraser to the school.

Stressing again the importance of modernizing the educational field, he warmly told officials that it is the top priority task of the state to modernize the educational field and improve the quality of education and it was also the important and strategic matter related to the future of the state.

And he added that no tiny flaw should be allowed in the education-related issues.

It was because of such noble intention that the respected General Secretary paid close attention even to the tiniest elements for the pupils.

At Cooking Practice Room of a Camp

Once, the respected General Secretary visited the Songdowon International Children’s Camp.

At that time, he also dropped in at a newly arranged cooking practice room.

Accompanied officials were delightful to see the room imagining children who would laugh boisterously while imitating high-grade cookers.

However, the respected General Secretary, who was looking closely around the room, said that a lecture room for teaching cookery theory should be arranged because the campers should also receive theoretical education in order to learn cooking method.

The officials were greatly moved.

Actually, they had failed to think of making it as an educational place which teaches the campers cooking methods.

After a while, the General Secretary taught the officials in detail the way to arrange the lecture room.

And he smiled brightly as if he was picturing the wonderful cooking practice room with theoretical lecture room.

His smile reflected the bright and cheerful features of our children who will grow up into the pillars of future with wide knowledge.

Patriots Appreciated by General Secretary

One November day in 2016, the respected General Secretary inspected an island defence detachment stationed in the forefront area.

He learned about the living of the servicepersons there and their preparation for combat. Suddenly he asked a commanding officer of the defence detachment if there is a branch school on the island.

After listening to his reply, the respected General Secretary instructed that officials of the upper units should regularly learn about the education situation and solve the problems in time with the proper outlook on the rising generation and future and they should visit the defence detachments on islands with notebooks, stationery and others needed for pupils.

An official told him that the branch schools for a few pupils on islands could be found only in our country and that many university graduates volunteer to teach at branch schools.

Then the General Secretary said that the graduates of university of education volunteering for branch schools on islands could be called patriots. He earnestly said that those teachers devoting their clear conscience to posterity on remote islands should be put forward and appreciated socially.

The accompanying officials were moved by his words “patriots!”

It is, indeed, a priceless appreciation reflecting the great trust and expectation of the peerlessly great man hoping that our educators would dedicate their clear patriotism to the education of the rising generation.
