Natural Duty of Citizen, Unanimous Aspiration
Although They Are Old
An old man Kang Yong Nam working on the Rajuk Farm in Kim Hyong Jik County is helping the farm work both mentally and materially, although he is old.
In December last year, Kang began the farm work again, although he is old. After he lost his house by an unexpected flood, he received a new house free of charge from the state. Then he began helping the farm work together with pensioners in his village to repay the benevolence of the country, even a little.
If we contribute to the farm work even a little though we may not do as much as young people can do, our native place will be better one. Thanks to the loving care of the respected General Secretary
So, Kang and other old people have tried to do farm work as the young people do.
The Rajuk Farm has achieved remarkable successes day by day, thanks to the efforts of the true persons who regard it as due duty to devote themselves to the native place with the ardent will to repay the benevolence of the Party and the state.
Regarding It as Their Own Work
Among the persons of sincerity who actively contribute to farming work true to the Party’s new programe of rural revolution is Ko Chung Ryol, residing in Koin Workers’ District in Jonchon County.
Nobody would have blamed him, a special class disabled soldier, if he had not helped the farm work.
However, saying that he can’t only enjoy the benefits of the Party and the state, he began to secure liquid manure some years before with determination to contribute even a little to filling the country’s rice granaries.
He was fully supported by his whole family.
His wife Ri Hyon Hui, impressed by sincerity of her husband who regards the state affairs as the primary work ahead of his health, raised more domestic animals to produce more manure.
His father and mother, demobilized officers, saying that whoever eat boiled rice should regard the farming work as his own, actively helped them.
They also secured many small farm implements as if their sincerity was insufficient.
Every year, he and his family sent lots of manure and small farm implements to the Koin Farm, and this year, too, they handing over many farming materials, encouraged its farmers to glorify with bumper harvest this year marking the 80th birth anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
With Will to Contribute to Country’s Prosperity and Development
Now, actively contributing to the country’s prosperity and development becomes a social trend, and patriotic young people who follow it are increasing in number.
Among them is Song Chol Myong, a student in the second grade at the Mechanical Engineering Faculty of Sunchon Ri Su Bok University of Chemical Industry.
Last year, he sent many farming utensils to socialist farms.
When he was asked what brought him to do patriotic deeds, he replied:
Just what I wanted is to give even a little help to farms for relieving the Party’s anxiety about farming.
For such sincere devotion of his, he is praised at the village and university.
The story about his good works is not all.
A few years ago, he made casual acquaintance with a special class disabled soldier at a dispensary. Then, he frequently called on the disabled soldier’s house on the way to university and handed over tonics and health foods to him.
During his vacation, he secured many aid materials and tools and utensils for the coal miners of Jinkdong and encouraged them working together with them.
On holidays, he visited his classmates, who lived in a dormitory, with special dishes he prepared at home. ..
His good works are, indeed, rooted in his precious mind of finding the worth of living in contribution to the country regarding the country’s anxiety as his own.
