On Dec. ２１, ２０２１, an official of the light industry sector, who was burning the midnight oil, unexpectedly received precious instructions of the respected General Secretary
After accepting the official’s polite greetings, the General Secretary asked about the calculation of the funds needed for making new school uniforms for students across the country.
Listening to the official’s detailed report, the General Secretary said tens of millions of meters of cloth were necessary to provide all the students across the country with new school uniforms. He continued that it was hard to provide all the students across the country with school uniforms, satchels and shoes, but we should do the work unconditionally. He earnestly said it was the most important and pressing work.
A lump was in the official’s throat.

It was a measure which could be taken only by the respected General Secretary who regards the work for posterity as the most important issue of our Party.
The official expressed his gratitude to the General Secretary.
Then the General Secretary said that we should never begrudge money for posterity, stressing that he would remove the worry when all the students of the country were provided with new school uniforms, satchels and shoes.
The official was deeply moved by his words reflecting parental love.
Later, at the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, the official felt the warm sincerity of the General Secretary devoted to posterity.
At the plenary meeting, the General Secretary said that one of the important matters for the light industry sector is to provide our students with school uniforms.
Noting that it is the policy of our Party and the eternal policy of the DPRK to provide our children with school uniforms, he continued:
To direct all the efforts of the Party and the state to the work for children is the basic program and fundamental duty of revolutionaries who struggle for the future, before it is the work to demonstrate advantages of the socialist system and propagandize something.
His teaching was the golden saying which made the officials keep in mind that with what attitude of mind they should work for posterity.
Thanks to the paternal love of the General Secretary, supply of school uniforms, satchels and shoes to new pupils and students across the country began ahead of the new school year in ２０２２. Later, summer school uniforms of new style, satchels and shoes were supplied to all the pupils and students across the country ranging from the capital city of Pyongyang to remote mountainous villages and island villages to move the whole country.
This is a story among the numberless facts conveying the great efforts and pains of the General Secretary for posterity.
