Impression of an Honored Worker

Not long ago, Choe Jong Nam residing in people’s neighborhood unit No. １２４, Chondong-ri, Sunan District, who recovered his health after the treatment at the Pyongyang University of Medicine Hospital, was out of the hospital.

Leaving the hospital, he recollected the sincere devotion of the grateful people who had been solicitous for his health as he was an honored worker valued by the Party.

The medical workers devoted their utmost sincerity to the patient who was discouraged from his serious illness.

Kim Kon Yong, a head of a department, and other medical workers and nurses sat up all night with the patient, though they were exhausted from the tight schedule of a series of operations.

Their ineffable selfless devotion to the patient even after the successful operation was touching.

In days of receiving treatment in the hospital, he could see a true feature of our society which is pervaded by moral obligation and good traits.

So, he said with deep emotion:

The best in the world is our socialist country where all the people live in a large, harmonious family.

Song Sung in Wedding Ceremony

Recently a significant wedding ceremony took place at the mess hall of the Pyongyang Wheat Flour Processing Factory amid the concern of the officials and employees of the factory.

The bride and bridegroom are Kim Jong A and Jo Chol Guk, workers at the factory.

Receiving the bouquets and warm applause, Jo was impressed.

A few years have passed since he, who lost his parents in his early childhood, was discharged from military service.

At that time he was worried because of taking first step of social life alone without help of his parents.

But it was an idle fear.

Many people took warm care of him with kindred affection for making him spend worthwhiile days of youth.

And when he met a beautiful girl as his marriage partner, all of them made preparations for his wedding ceremony.

Thanks to such benevolence, the couple received a significant wedding reception associated with the warm sincerity of the officials and employees of the factory.

The song "We Are the Happiest in the World" sung by the bride and bridegroom echoed to the clear and blue sky of the country as a song in boundless praise of the grateful socialist system.

At Meeting of Congratulating Innovators

A few days ago, there took place a meeting of congratulating innovators at the Hamhung Knitwear Factory.

Amid rapturous applause, bouquets were presented to innovators. Suddenly, a female innovator came up to a senior official of the factory and gave the bouquet she received to him saying that she could be an innovator thanks to the warm affection of the officials and employees who take deep care of the lodgers.

Following her, several lodgers gave bouquets they received to officials of the factory.

In fact, the officials of the factory put great efforts into the work of caring the lodgers, regarding it as an important work. They have often visited the lodging to learn about any inconveniences in their life and paid special attention to making them satisfactorily enjoy themselves on their birthdays and holidays.

So, the lodgers have felt warm affection of flesh and blood from the appearances of the officials and redoubled their determination to work harder to make contributions to the improvement of people’s living standard.

That day, the officials who received bouquets from the lodgers made up their minds to live and work as faithful servants of the workers.
