National Footwear Exhibition Closes in DPRK

The ２０２５ Spring National Footwear Exhibition was held amid the interest of visitors.

During the exhibition, officials and working people of scientific research institutes, production units and relevant units shared and transferred through many-sided technical exchange the successes and experience gained in the course of realizing the intention of the Workers’ Party of Korea to diversify consumer goods by directing efforts to developing new products and expanding their variety.

Highly appreciated at the sci-tech presentation were such proposals as the boy students’ shoes production line newly developed and established in Korean style, the method of measuring the flexural strength of finished shoes and the automatic control system of shoemaking line by PLC.

Those shoes, exhibited by the Wonsan Leather Shoes Factory, the Ryuwon Footwear Factory and the Wonsan Footwear Factory, drew the attention of experts and visitors for their smart and improved quality indices.

Products of the Sochon Haedong Factory, the Sunchon Leather Shoes Factory and the Juson Footwear Workshop, too, won a high appreciation for their convenience, beauty and durability.

A closing ceremony took place at Pyongyang Department Store No. １ on Thursday.

Present there were officials concerned and officials, scientists, technicians, three-revolution team members and workers of the exhibiting units.

Diplomas, medals and certificates as well as prizes were awarded to the units and participants that were highly appreciated.
