At Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex
The spirit of advance of the workers of the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex is growing day by day.
Under the guidance of the Party organization, the staff of the complex is meticulously conducting the operation and command to provide a sure guarantee for boosting the production of iron and steel while fulfilling the August plan without fail.
Officials, workers and technicians of the complex, who have made strenuous efforts to put the production of iron and steel on a normal basis at the level desired by the Party, are now actively pushing ahead with the work to prove its economic and technical effectiveness by introducing the newly developed refractories into production. Success in this work makes it possible to increase the working days of labour far more than before.
And they are striving to maintain and reinforce the electric power system more smoothly and produce more quality oxygen, firmly holding fast to science and technology as a weapon for advance and development.
The officials of the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry and the North Hamgyong Provincial Party Committee are also giving active guidance and assistance to such a struggle of the workers of the complex.
In Fishery Sector
Officials and workers in the field of fishery are in high spirit of advance out of the single mind to glorify this year, the last year of implementing the decision of the Eighth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea, with high labour achievements.
According to data available, the fishery sector has made innovative successes in building tens of all-purpose fishing boats as of now.
The Hwajin Fishery Station built all-purpose fishing boats with a large capacity in a short span of time while giving precedence to the supply of materials such as iron plate and welding rod necessary for shipbuilding.
The officials and workers of the Mundok and Hanchon fishery stations have actively introduced rational and technical innovation proposals for ensuring the daily working speed and quality. They have pushed ahead with the assembly of hulls in a three-dimensional way to complete the plan for shipbuilding ahead of schedule.
The workers of the Unjon Fishery Station displayed high sense of responsibility in assembling the hull frame by viewing themselves in the light of the noble spirit of Jo Myong Hyok of the modernization shop under the Chongjin Shipyard.
The officials and workers of the Hongwon, Kamapho and other fishery stations are pushing ahead with the shipbuilding plan at the final stage.
The successes made in shipbuilding are expanding continuously thanks to the loyalty of all the officials and workers in the field of fishery who are making an unyielding advance towards October of glory.
At Phunggok Youth Coal Mine
The members of the Phunggok Youth Coal Mine are vigorously advancing in the van of the drive for increased production.
According to data available, the coal mine produced over ３ ５００ tons of more coal after the １２th Plenary Meeting of the ８th Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea amid the increasing vanguard role of its members.
The role of the Party members was redoubled in the van of the drive for increased production. Their vanguard role aroused the enthusiasm of the masses for struggle and thus the coal mine succeeded in producing tens of tons of more coal every day.
The primary Party committee organized mobile work to widely popularize the positive examples of some Party members in bringing good results in the daily production and taking part in the support work.
It created the enthusiasm for collective emulation, thus enabling to produce over １ ４００ tons of more coal in July.
In August, too, the coal output is increasing and the young people in the youth pit are making innovative successes while vigorously conducting the shock brigade activities.
