We Should Inherit Revolutionary Traditions of Mt Paektu through Generations
The respected General Secretary
Looking up to the General Secretary who climbed Jujak Peak with the noble sense of moral obligation, the accompanying officials were deeply moved.
After the wreath-laying ceremony, the General Secretary together with officials went round the busts of the anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters in the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt Taesong.
He told the officials that he was moved to tears when he stood in front of the busts of the anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters, the first generation of the Korean revolution, who accomplished the historic cause of national liberation through the blood-stained struggle, holding President
He placed flowers at the busts of Kim Chaek, An Kil, Ryu Kyong Su and Choe Hyon and paid high tribute to the revolutionary martyrs before having a bird’s eye view of Pyongyang on Jujak Peak.
He said that during the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle our revolutionary forerunners deprived the Japs of rifles to fight against them equipped with modern arms such as planes, tanks and guns.
The source of the forerunners’ mental power was the faith that they would surely win when they were led by President
He continued that the immortal feats of the anti-Japanese guerrillas, who established the great traditions of the Korean revolution shining along with the history of succession and provided the eternal foundations of our great state, will be conveyed to posterity.
His meaningful words made the officials keep in their mind the history of the brilliant victory in the anti-Japanese war and the undying feats of the anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners.
Looking at the impressed officials, he said that the revolutionary traditions of Mt Paektu created during the anti-Japanese struggle serve as the firm foundations of our Party and revolution, the noble spirit to be kept by our people and service personnel forever and the most precious treasure that should never be bartered for any valuables.
We should inherit the revolutionary traditions of Mt Paektu even after the lapse of decades and the change of generations and our revolution given continuity by the ideological lineage and faith will always emerge victorious, he stressed.
Listening to him, the officials were convinced that the victorious history of our revolution will be everlasting as our people hold in high esteem the respected General Secretary.
