Efforts Concentrated on Increasing the Production in Raw Material Bases of Regional-Industry Factories

True to the Party’s policy on regional industry development, North Hwanghae Province is concentrating its efforts on increasing the per-hectare yield in raw material bases.

Unpha and Yonthan counties are increasing the cultivation area of sweet potato and sugar cane and conducting the cultivation and manure of them with sincerity in order to provide foodstuff factories with sufficient raw materials by increasing the per-hectare yield of sugar crops.

Koksan and Hwangju counties created raw material bases in areas favorable for cultivation and enhanced the proportion of mechanization in farming by providing farming machines such as a tractor.

The Evodia Danielli Benn forest management stations in Sariwon City and Suan County are putting efforts into strengthening material and technical foundation while organizing demonstrations and technical studies intended to enhance nursery management, fertility and the rate of rooting on a regular basis to increase the output of oil-bearing fruit.

The employees of the raw material bases in Songrim City, Kumchon and Thosan counties are directing their efforts into the cultivation of industrial crops while acquiring advanced farming methods and cultivation techniques through agricultural sci-tech studies and production practice.

Sohung, Sangwon and Yonsan counties, on the basis of having learnt in detail about the growth situation of crops including sunflower, perilla and peppermint according to varieties and fields, are allocating labor rationally and conducting all farm works in a scientific way, thus bringing about a bumper harvest.
