The labor innovators and meritorious persons not only took part in the national flag-raising and national oath-taking ceremony on the occasion of the national day but also had a meaningful souvenir photo taken with the respected General Secretary with the state assembly hall where the flag of the Republic flutters as the background.
Then who are these people blessed with great lifetime glory?
They are ordinary workers to be seen in any factories and enterprises, farmers working by the sweat of their brows at farms, scientists, technicians, teachers, artistes and sportspeople.
In a word, they are the most common working people of our country.

The woman with whom the respected General Secretary shook hands before any others and whom he set right beside him at the photo session is a woman official of the supply base of the Korean People’s Army which distinguished itself in paddy-field catfish breeding.
The worker whom the respected General Secretary patted on the back with repeated praises is Choe Chun Il, a welder of the Chongjin Shipyard, who trained several skilled welders while working faithfully at the same job for nearly ３０ years.
Among them who won the biggest glory of life are meritorious person of socialist patriotism and merited collier Pak Yong Bok of the Namdok Youth Coal Mine under the Pukchang Area Youth Coal Mining Complex who has worked as a collier for over ３０ years, Kung Jong Sik, a teacher of the Phyongsong University of Education, who has devoted wisdom and passion to bringing up the young generation for nearly ２０ years and was selected as one of １０ best teachers in ２０２４, a female labor innovator of the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill and workers from school uniform factories.
Among the agricultural workers from South Hwanghae Province, the leading grain producer of the country, is Chae Jong Sun with a ２０-odd-year career as a farmer at the Ungyo Farm tens of ris away even from the seat of Paechon County.

The man who wore lots of invention medals on his chest is Sok Yong Bom, a section chief of the Power Machine Institute of the State Academy of Sciences. He’s a scientist of worker origin who was awarded nearly ６０ invention medals.
He was selected the best inventor in ２０２２ and received the WIPO National Inventor Award.
The respected General Secretary invited the labor innovators and meritorious persons to the Mansudae Assembly Hall on the national day and said that the prosperity and mightiness of our Republic is the fruition and result of the ardent sincerity and extraordinary practice of the patriotic people who firmly consolidated the foundations of the state and added vigor to the vibrant country with inexhaustible passion and painstaking efforts.
He highly praised that the labor innovators and meritorious persons who are making redoubled efforts while prioritizing the state affairs and keeping the national interests above all else are the qualified masters of our era and zealous patriots.
