Wheat Processing Capacity Nearly Doubled Across Country

Since the Party set forth the policy of changing the country’s grain production structure, wheat processing capacity across the country has been further improved so far.

Officials and working people in the field of grain management made a big stride of advance upholding the Party’s intention of having included formally the construction of grain management station equipped with comprehensive and integrated facilities which can process and store grain in cities and counties into the regional development policy.

The wheat processing base construction command team and the Ministry of Grain Management have actively pushed ahead with the work to increase the wheat processing capacity in keeping with increased wheat output.

The Kangryong and Singye wheat processing factories were built as suited to the new era of rural rejuvenation and the Haeju, Nampho and Songrim wheat processing factories were put on a modern basis at a high level. There were built wheat processing bases according to output of each region at grain management stations of several cities and countries.

Therefore wheat processing capacity across the country nearly doubled since the ４th Plenary Meeting of the ８th Party Central Committee was held, thus contributing to improving the diet of the people.

It is a precious fruition of the patriotic zeal and devoted efforts of the officials and working class in the field of grain management who have endeavored in the drive for implementing the ideas of the Party and upholding its policy true to the noble intention of the motherly Party which focuses all the state policies and affairs on promoting the people’s wellbeing.

They are trying hard to actively contribute to the improvement of the people’s diet by thoroughly implementing the decisions of the plenary meetings of the Party Central Committee even at this moment.

Currently the Wonsan Wheat Processing Factory is being renovated and expanded splendidly in the eastern coastal area and the project for expanding production capacity and modernization of the Hamhung Wheat Processing Factory is being stepped up at a high speed, thus nearing its completion in the near future.

Technical preparations for building the Phyongsong Wheat Processing Factory next year into a modern factory in conformity with the world standard and technical works for building grain management stations of cities and counties into the ones to suit the local features and equipped with comprehensive and integrated facilities are being promoted in the final stages.

Officials and working class in the field of grain management are full of zeal to contribute to the promotion of the people’s wellbeing by increasing processing capacity in keeping with the wheat production goal set forth by the Party.
