The significant October holiday is a meaningful occasion of turning point for our country and revolution and an auspicious event celebrated by all our people.
The great history of a party is glorified by its rosy future.
Our people are very impressed by the ８０-year-long history of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) as its course is proud and its future is also bright. The optimism about and confidence in the future is the greatest happiness and glory that only our people led by the WPK enjoy.

Under the leadership of the President our Party laid the foundation for socialism and brought about epochal changes in the struggle for building a new country and the Fatherland Liberation War and directed primary effort to bringing up revolutionary talents and steadily led the struggle for prospective development. It is the great exploit performed by the President that the WPK ceaselessly made the long-range plan for the Juche revolution, providing the track for power and prosperity of the country by holding fast to the strategic line of independence, self-sustenance and self-reliant defence despite the complex circumstances.

It is the historic achievement of having established a firm political backbone for steadfastly carrying forward the revolutionary character and lifeline of our Party that the respected General Secretary defined Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism as the Party’s unique guiding ideology and set it as its strategic line of Party building to model the whole Party on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism.
The five-point Party-building line in the new era indicated by the respected General Secretary is a Party building programme of eternal value with which to firmly guarantee the highly-efficient features and traits of the WPK.
The historic position of the Party-building line in the new era is that it is an immortal banner which makes it possible to turn ours into a promising socialist ruling party which never gets senile and to bring earlier the rosy future by infinitely enhancing its ever-victorious guiding abilities.
Another important issue prioritized by our great Party Central Committee in building the country’s bright future is to provide a solid foundation for guaranteeing the ever-lasting peace and prosperity of our state and prosperity.

Today, our state, under the WPK’s line of building up the self-reliant defence and the revolution in national defence industry in the new era, increases its overwhelming strength.

The respected General Secretary defined the people’s laughter as a criterion for evaluating the national power, and it indicates the main principles and goals we should keep and attain in accomplishing the far-reaching plan.
The respected General Secretary, for the sake of the rising generation, remarkably enhanced the superiority and might of the self-supporting economy which has been cemented for tens of years, and established it as the mode of existence and advance which is peculiar to our state to create and develop by dint of self-reliance.
In the face of difficulties and insufficiency, a new era in which not only the capital but also the rural areas are being face-lifted was opened and a century-old dream of regional rejuvenation is being realized; in different parts of the country, the world-class cultural recreation grounds are being built splendidly; this proud successes can be achieved in none other than the revolutionary world of the great Party which struggles and strives keeping in mind a strong sense of duty that it can never be content in the work for providing the rising generations with the foundation of all blessings.
The very important issue that our Party makes great efforts to is preparing well the successors to the revolution who will shoulder the future of the motherland.
The respected General Secretary, from the first days of his revolutionary leadership, gives great importance to the youth problem and puts primary efforts into equipping them with revolutionary idea and training them in a revolutionary way.
Under the loving care and trust of the respected General Secretary who named the glorious Socialist Patriot Youth League and charged the young people with difficult and challenging major projects, they grow up as the ables who can be fully entrusted with the country’s future.
The respected General Secretary directs profound attention to bringing up the members of the Korean Children’s Union into the pillars of the country’s bright future.
His noble intention is that the vigorousness of children’s union members shows the triumphant spirit of socialist Korea which keeps advancing towards the victory, and the looks of faithful and upright successors to the revolution mirror the future of the motherland which will be further prosperous and beautiful.
The Party Central Committee, at the important Party meetings, discussed the issues of bringing up well the children, and the policies for the rising generations are always set as the first item in policies of our Party and state.
The pride of our Party which believes in the bright future is that tens of thousands of successors to the revolution are brought up with credit under the benevolent care of the great Party Central Committee.
As we have an invincible guiding force for the revolutionary cause of Juche and solid foundation and boundless strength as well as the ranks of trustworthy successors, we are certain of the victory in not only present day but also the days to come.
