Immortal Exploits in Foundation of Revolutionary Party

On this occasion, our people are recollecting with deep emotion the immortal feats of the President performed in Party building.
The work for founding the party was conducted in difficult and complicated circumstances after the country’s liberation (August １５, １９４５) from Japan’s colonial rule.
The factionalists, who made a mess of the Korean communist movement in the １９２０s, disturbed the founding work of the party while continuing their factional strife, instead of finding the due lessons from it.
Meanwhile, the U.S. imperialists and its lackeys made desperate efforts to incite the factionalists to destroy the unity of the communist movement and the foundation of the communist Party.
The President made a deep analysis of the country’s complicated circumstances and paid the primary attention to the work for founding the Party, the general staff and advance unit of the Korean revolution.
In his speech made before the military and political cadres on August ２０ in １９４５, the President put forward the policy on founding the unified Party with the anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters as its core and the communists active in various regions of home and abroad.
The policy of founding the Party set forth by the President was the only correct line capable of preventing the division of the ranks of the communists and founding the unified Party rallying the communists in a broad way by turning our Party into the Juche-type revolutionary Party both in name and reality.
The President instructed to found the Party in the way of organizing the Party central leadership organ on the basis of forming the Party organizations in every locality before anything else and dispatched the anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters to several localities as the political operatives.
Thanks to his seasoned leadership, the organizational and ideological bases of the Party foundation could be provided and the inaugural congress of the Party was held in Pyongyang on October １０ in １９４５.
At the congress, he indicated the Party’s political and organizational lines and declared to the world the foundation of our Party.
The foundation of our Party is a fruition of his energetic efforts to found the revolutionary party from the first days of setting out on the road of revolution, and it is the birth of Juche-oriented revolutionary Party who succeeded in the revolutionary tradition of the anti-Japanese fighters regarding the Juche Idea as its solo guiding idea.
Indeed, as we held the President in high esteem, our people could become powerful and dignified one advancing along the road of victory under the guidance of the WPK and greet the era of the glorious Workers’ Party shining with gigantic struggle and change.
