Only Honorary Title in the World

The Workers’ Party of Korea which has emerged ever-victorious even in all sorts of hardships has many titles given by our Korean people.

The Juche-type revolutionary Party, the steel-strong and invincible Party, the experienced and seasoned Party, the ever-victorious Party and the great guiding Party and so on.

Among them is a dear name which our people regard it as the dearest and the loveliest one.

It is the mother Party.

This is the reflection of true feeling of whole people living on this land.

A mother regards it as the most worthwhile work and happiness of her life to devote herself to her own children.

So, the people in the DPRK dearly call the Workers’ Party of Korea mother.

A poet in his work singing of the WPK said that he could not find any other word more suitable than mother.

The WPK has devoted its all to the happiness of the people and never thought about its existence apart from their destiny and life.

Nothing was regarded as an issue graver than people’s sorrow and more important than to alleviate their misfortune.

Whenever the people undergo hardships, the WPK goes deeper among them to serve as their mental pillar, sharing bitters and sweets with them, and taking warm care of their destiny.

We have kept in our minds the Party as the image of mother protecting our destinies and taking care of our life both in good times and bad.

The mother Party!

This is the call from the bottom of our people’s hearts and the sacred honorary title unique to the WPK.
