Wreaths Laid at Liberation Tower
Delegation of United Russia Party
A delegation of the United Russia Party led by President Dmitri Medvedev laid a wreath at the Liberation Tower on October 9.
Present there were Kim Jong Gyu, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs of the DPRK, and members of the Russian embassy here.
The guard of honor of the Korean People’s Army lined up at the Liberation Tower.
The anthems of the Russian Federation and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea were played.
A wreath in the name of Dmitri Medvedev was laid before the tower amid the playing of wreath-laying music.
All the participants paid silent tribute to the fallen martyrs of the Soviet Army who fought bravely for Korea’s liberation with the noble internationalist spirit and looked round the tower.

A delegation of the Socialist Political Party "For Just Russia-Patriots-Truth" led by Chairman Sergei Mironov, chief of the party group of the State Duma, a delegation of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia led by Chairman Leonid Slutski, chairman of the International Affairs Committee of the State Duma, and a delegation of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation led by Dmitri Novikov, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and first vice-chairman of the International Affairs Committee of the State Duma, on a visit to the DPRK to take part in the celebrations of the 80th founding anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, laid wreaths before the Liberation Tower on October 9.

Members of the delegations paid silent tribute to the fallen fighters of the Soviet Army who devoted their precious lives to the sacred war for Korea’s liberation and looked round the tower.
