One Thousand and Hundreds of Farm Machines Secured

North Hamgyong Province has secured a thousand and hundreds of farm machines this year and thus further increased the rate of mechanization in the farm work compared to last year.

The provincial Party Committee intensified organizational work to secure efficient farm machines and sent them to farms from the beginning of this year.

In particualr it saw that the senior officials of the city and county Party Committees take active measures for securing farm machines suited to the topographical features of their regions in close cooperation with the provincial rural economy committee.

Accordingly, the work for securing farm machines was conducted briskly.

Officials of the provincial rural economy committee put major efforts into laying material and technical basis for mass-producing efficient sowing machines now that the area to grow wheat and barley was expanded. Meanwhile they aroused creative zeal of workers and technicians of the Chongjin Trailing Farm Machine Factory, thus producing tens of farm machines by the appointed time.

Onsong and Kilju counties, mindful of the importance of the introduction of farm machines, produced lots of mobile combined rice threshers by mobilizing their own technical forces.

The Kyongwon County Farm Machine station finished the production of tens of corn threshers in a short span of time by focusing labour and technical forces before the harvest.

Consequently hundreds of farm machines of １０-odd kinds were produced in the province.

The province, in close contact with relevant units, secured thousands of efficient farm machines including nutritive rice-transplanters and tractors and sent them to farms.
