Meeting an Official of County Party Committee Late at Night

One day in July, ２０１８, the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un, who was carrying on his journey for field guidance, summoned an official of the Kyongsong County Party Committee late at night.

Sitting unreservedly knee to knee with the official, he learnt about the conditions of the county and taught one by one about the importance of the role of the county Party Committee in developing the county.

Then, the respected General Secretary gave detailed instructions as to the working method of officials of the county Party Committee for rousing the people of the county to implementation of Party policies.

He taught:

The officials of the county Party Committee themselves should be fully equipped with the ideas of the Party Central Committee, respond sensitively and promptly to the ideas and intentions of the Party and stand in the van of the work to inspire the masses to the implementation of the Party policies.

They should actively help and lead primary officials to let them regard the implementation of Party policies as their household affairs and educate and mobilize the masses.

The officials of the county Party Committee should voluntarily take part in Party life, thus ceaselessly training themselves in an organizational and ideological way.

Every one of his instructions was a precious guideline the officials of the county Party Committee should regard as a motto.

Looking up to the respected General Secretary in excitement, the official hardened his will to make the Party’s ideas and the atmosphere of implementing the Party policies pervade the whole county.

Trust Reflected in His Earnest Request

In July, ２０２１, the respected General Secretary called a senior official of a county Party Committee near to him.

Warmly welcoming him, he asked about the farming conditions and the implementation of childcare policy set forth at the ３rd Plenary Meeting of the ８th Party Central Committee.

When the official replied to him, the respected General Secretary noted that officials should work better, always remembering the expectations of the people.

Then he continued that the chief secretaries of county Party committees should properly unite the people around the Party and put efforts into education of officials, Party members and working people.

After a pause, he stressed that they should thoroughly arm all the people with Party policies, thus letting them live and struggle as intended by the Party, and that’s how our Party grows stronger.

His instructions bore his earnest desire for the chief secretaries of city and county Party committees to faithfully discharge their heavy responsibilities as deputies of the Party Central Committee in charge of a two hundredth part of the country.

The official made up his mind to fulfill his responsibility and duty in leading the regional development as required by the Party’s line and policy on strengthening cities and counties.
