Ra In Gwan, Merited Builder
Ra In Gwan, head of construction workshop of the Kumya Hydroelectric Power Station Construction Company, is an earnest worker who has devoted his sincere efforts to socialist construction.
When he started working as a builder tens of years ago, his father who had worked in the construction company all his life said to him that there was no such thing more proud than the work of a builder who creates country’s wealth.
Keeping the father’s words deep in his mind, he enrolled in the study-while-working-system and steadily improved his own technical skill.
In those days he engaged in the construction of the Wiwon Power Station and carried out high-altitude task that others fear of doing in a qualitative way. So he became distinguished as an innovator since the early of his twentieth.
Afterwards he took part in several projects including the construction of the Anbyon Youth Power Station and made a contribution towards hastening the project by presenting ideas of reducing time for frame work and its dismantling. Therefore he was awarded a citation of Chairman
He worked harder with the enthusiasm for repaying the love and trust of the country since he became a head of the workshop ten-odd years ago.
Whenever difficult problems arose, he solved them by pulling collective wisdom and strength. When young newcomers presented new technical innovation proposals, he rendered active help to them to effectuate their proposals.
Consequently, tens of newcomers have grown up to be skilled workers and labour innovators.
Ra In Gwan was awarded the title of Merited Builder in April, ２０１２.
Ri Chol Won, Merited Collier
Ri Chol Won, commander of the Coal Mining Company No.１ of No.９ Pit in the Namdok Youth Coal Mine, has been devoting his all to coal production for tens of years.
He, with a determination to perform his own duty as in the days of his military service, has worked heart and soul since he came to the coal mine after being discharged from military service tens of years ago.
When he felt exhausted as he wasn’t accustomed to the work of the coal mine, he wanted to abandon his work.
Every time he felt exhausted, the old colliers encouraged him. They taught him every tip of the work saying that it is easy to become a collier but difficult to play a collier’s proper role and looked after his life lest he should feel lonely as he was far away from his home. Looking at them, he made up his mind to be a genuine collier who devotes his all to coal production.
During those days, he performed laudable deeds for the collective and comrades and endeavored to secure necessary spare parts of equipment.
After he became a company commander thanks to the ever-growing trust of the collective, he worked by the sweat of his brow to live up to the comrades’ expectations.
Thanks to his devoted efforts, his company over-fulfilled the production plan every year.
In this course, he brought up over １０ skilled workers and also encouraged his daughter and son-in-law to work at the coal mine.
In April, ２０２４, he was awarded the title of Merited Collier.
Still he endeavors to increase coal production with determination to repay the benevolence of the socialist country bestowed on an ordinary collier for his lifetime.
Pak Son Ae, Merited Teacher
Among the educators who devote their wisdom and efforts to the education for rising generation true to the Party’s intention is Pak Son Ae, head of the Taesong Primary School in Sariwon City.
Tens of years have passed since she became a teacher of a primary school in the city after graduating from university. Although she was young and had few years of teaching, she devoted her efforts to working out every teaching plan with the determination to bring up students into talents, knowledgeable, moral and physically fit as required by the Party.
The teaching plans she wrought out after making a profound study of teaching methods that conform with the levels and the ages and psychological features of primary schoolchildren proved effective in practice and a lot of students she taught entered higher schools.
Not resting on her laurels, she has tenaciously striven to improve the quality of teaching and in this course she was awarded １０-odd certificates including a certificate of new instructional methods and invention certificate of experimental equipment and teaching aids.
Since she was appointed as the head of the Taesong Primary School tens of years ago, she strived with redoubled efforts to possess higher ability and trained １０-odd teachers into October ８ Model Professors and holders of academic degrees by putting efforts into the improvement of the qualifications of other teachers.
Moreover, she directed efforts to running various extracurricular circles for bringing up all the students into talents on the basis of having correctly grasped their aptitudes and personalities
In those days, she became a meritorious person of socialist patriotism and participated in the １４th National Conference of Teachers and had a souvenir picture taken with the respected General Secretary
In February, ２０２４, she won the honor of merited teacher.
She, with the zeal to repay the Party, devotes her all to the implementation of the Party’s policy on brining about a radical turn in education in the new century.
