Touching Stories under Socialist System
Five House Licenses for One Family
One day in mid-September last, the village of Work-team No. 5 of the Phungthan Farm in Sunchon City was full of laughter of farmers till late at night. That day, the third housewarming of the farm since the beginning of the new era of rural rejuvenation was held and tens of families of the work-team received new houses.
Among all of them, the family members of Kim Ae Suk were unusually excited because Kim’s couple and her four married children received new houses all at once on the same day.
They stayed awake till late at night, looking at the five house licenses and looking round the rooms of the new houses.
All of a sudden, Kim took a newspaper out.
Written in an article of the paper was the price of rural dwellings in a country.
In fact, Kim who had read about the house price in the paper was so surprised because it was too expensive.
However, her family members received five new houses all on the same day free of charge.
They felt indescribable gratitude toward our socialist system which builds modern dwelling houses across the country and provides them to the farmers.
That day, Kim and her children made up their minds to reap bumper harvest every year by working in the sweat of their brow in order to uphold our benevolent Party and system.
Laudable Students
Shortly ago, the Party organization of Pyongyang University of Transport received a phone call from a resident in Ragwon-dong in Pothonggang District.
The caller wanted the university officials to widely introduce the laudable deeds of their students who saved her daughter’s life.
At night in late September last, O Yong Mi, a student of Pyongyang College of Urban Management was returning home when she felt a serious pain and fell down.
Her companion didn’t know what to do because it was such an unexpected emergency.
Midnight as it was, there were few passers-by or cars on the street.
At that moment, two young people ran up to them and asked about what had happened.
Then, they went to a nearby pharmacy to obtain necessary medicines.
After a while, O got back to her senses.
She told them that she felt much better and she was much obliged and asked them what university they went to and what their names were.
However, they answered her with a smile that everyone would have done so in such a case.
They left after helping O to get back home safely.
After hearing about it from O’s companion, every student of the college as well as her parents were so touched.
The laudable students were Kim Jin Hyok and Paek Tu Song of Pyongyang University of Transport.
Like Blood Relatives of Orphans
A few days ago, some people left Haeju Orphans’ Primary School amid warm send-off of officials and teachers in the sunset.
They were Om Hye Song and her family members, living in Neighborhood Unit No. 51 of Kwangsok-dong in Haeju City, who had spent the whole day with the orphans who were celebrating the red-letter day.
It was not long ago when they began visiting the orphans.
However, they, who visit the school with kindred affection, left a strong impression on the teachers and orphans.
One day a few months ago, Om’s couple visited the school with their child.
They said that they felt so excited whenever they saw the Party’s favours bestowed upon the children grow and continued that they wanted to repay the benevolence of the Party.
They earnestly told that they would become blood relatives of orphans most valued by the Party.
In times of difficulty, they braced themselves up, picturing the tomorrow of orphans who would grow up healthily to become pillars of the country.
The officials and teachers admire that they are so respectable people.
Their devotion to the future of the country still continues.
