Precious Guideline, Earnest Request

Conscience Which Should Be Valued

There is a precious guideline which the cell secretaries of the entire Party recollect with deep emotion even now.

It was phrases of the speech made by the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un in the Fourth Conference of Cell Secretaries of the Workers’ Party of Korea in January, 2013.

That day, he gave instructions on the issues arising in enhancing the function and role of the Party cells as required by the development of our Party and revolution and said that the important task facing the Party cells at present is to work with the masses properly so that they can establish a firm bond of kinship with our Party.

Noting that this is the embrace of our Party to care more for sick and wounded children, give them love and affection, cure their sour wounds, help them up and put them forward again, instead of blaming them, the respected General Secretary added that no matter what serious mistakes or crimes he may make, and even though we find in him 99 percent of demerits and only one percent of merit or conscience, we should value his conscience, boldly trust him and lead him to start with a clean slate.

His precious teachings included the deep meaning that the Party cell secretaries should bear the responsibility for the people’s political integrity and take care of it to firmly rally all of them around the Party.

They Should Show Their Sincerity First

It was one May day in 2015.

That day the respected General Secretary, sitting face to face with the senior officials of the Party, the state economic organs and the working people’s organizations, instructed them that what important is to acquire the good methods of working with the masses in understanding the masses and motivating their strength and wisdom.

And then he awakened them that the masses do not open their minds for officials who are trying to give instructions thoughtlessly while acting like an educator and let loose revolutionary expressions, not appreciating their agonies.

Listening to him, the officials were deep in thought.

Because they looked back upon their working attitude to the masses in the past.

Looking at the officials, he noted that they should devote their sincerity first in order to understand the minds of the people.

The instructions of the respected General Secretary reflected the deep meaning that all the officials should regard it as the main and inviolable mission to see people first and to enlist the mental power of the masses in organizing and conducting work.

That day the officials hardened their determination to do their work better by actively applying the traditional method of working with the masses of the WPK, bearing in their mind his teachings.
