Tortoises Rock, Living Monument

The Tortoises Rock is situated in Yaksandongdae, Nyongbyon County of North Phyongan Province.

The Rock seems as if two tortoises were lying with their heads lifted up.

The rock on the right is ２.４ meters long and １.５ meters wide while the rock on the left is １.９ meters long and １.５ meters wide.

Their heads lie to the west and the tails to the east.

The surroundings are the area of odd-shaped cliffs and diverse plants grow there.

The Tortoises Rock adds much to the beauty of Yaksandongdae, a well-known scenic spot from of old.
