Making the rounds of the construction site, he learned in detail about the situation of building work.
He expressed great satisfaction with the fact that soldier-builders ensured high quality in the construction, saying that the soldier-builders did construction well. Fully reflected in each building are our army’s spirit and stand of devotedly implementing the Party’s policies, and this is an expression of patriotism, loyalty to the Party and the revolution and love for hometown, he added.
He continued that to establish a correct ideological viewpoint is important in construction, too, and there is nothing impossible to do when people are stimulated ideologically.
The accompanying officials were moved by the General Secretary who ushered in the grand construction for implementing the new policy for regional development and put forward the soldiers of the Korean People’s Army so that they could perform such great feats.
That day he noted that a new change is being made in the view of officials and builders on construction and the traits of giving priority to quality are prevailing over the whole area of construction and it is an affirmative trend guaranteeing the development of our architecture.
Receiving his instructions, the officials and soldier-builders deeply kept in their minds the honourable mission to erect every building wonderfully and perfectly as a symbol of the era so that we can show to our younger generations with a clear conscience, on the honour of our times and our generation.
We Should Work with Clear Conscience
One November day in ２０２４, the respected General Secretary gave field guidance at the construction site of regional-industry factories in Jaeryong County of South Hwanghae Province.
He said it was important for all the builders to enhance their sense of responsibility and role more than ever before, as the year was drawing to a close and the completion of the factories was at the final stage. Then he stressed repeatedly that they should not get impatient but push ahead more meticulously with building work to perfectly ensure the quality of construction to the last.
He learned in detail about the preparations for operating regional-industry factories and indicated scientific ways and means of solving knotty problems.
He continued that construction of the regional-industry factories is a far-reaching policy of the Party and a historic task for realizing the centuries-old desire of the regional people, not merely construction work. He noted that it is more precious to devote clear conscience before discussing only the result figures in the construction of the factories, adding that if we devote patriotic sweat and sincere efforts every day, an eye-opening era of regional transformation will surely come.
Receiving his precious instructions, the accompanying officials deeply felt that the most important one in the present construction is to work with clear conscience and sincere efforts true to the Party’s noble intention for providing the local people with modern civilized life as early as possible.
That day the soldier-builders determined to work with clear conscience and ardent patriotism for prosperity of the motherland and fully display the valuable honour of the Korean People’s Army which is always faithful to the leadership of our great Party.
