Hucho ishikawai Spawning Pond Newly Built

Officials and working people of Jangjin County in South Hamgyong Province set the goal for conducting fish breeding on a large scale by utilizing the natural and geographical conditions of the region and newly built the Hucho ishikawai Spawning Pond.

Hucho ishikawai is a fish with economic value as it is fatty and tasty and grows fast.

President Kim Il Sung in his lifetime instructed to spawn Hucho ishikawai and breed it in rivers.

Upholding his instruction, Jangjin County waged the vigorous drive for building the spawning pond.

Thus, they successfully built the pond in a little over six months on the shore of Stream Paekam adjoining Lake Jangjin.

Now the officials and working people of Jangjin County propel the work for normalizing the operation of the spawning pond.
