Touching Stories about Socialist System

Sincerity for Employees

Shortly ago, Kim Son Gu, a worker of the Singye County Essential Foodstuff Factory, celebrated his 60th birthday amid the blessings of the officials and employees of the factory.

He recollected the past days, looking at the officials who gave him heartfelt birthday greetings, saying that he did a lot of work at the same job for a long time.

They took good care of him, an ordinary skilled worker, lest he should feel any inconvenience in work and life.

He couldn’t repress his feelings now that he received a birthday spread they prepared with sincerity.

Indeed, the officials made selfless devotions to the employees, preparing wedding parties for demobilized-soldier employees and sharing joy with the employees whose children were joining the army or entering higher-grade schools.

Their such warm sincerity brought unity and credit to the factory.

All those present at the meaningful birthday celebration hardened their will to actively contribute to the production and development of the factory, keenly feeling the genuine features of our society.

Why They Visited the Coal Mine Again

Not long ago, we met the family of Kim Hyang Ran, residing in People’s Neighborhood Unit No. 70, Rangnang-dong No. 2 of Rangnang District, at the Hukryong Coal Mine under the Kangdong Area Coal Mining Complex.

We got to know them on a tour for collecting data about a war veteran in Rangnang District a few months before.

Then and there, we had found that Kim and her family had been taking good care of the war veteran for years.

However, we didn’t expect to meet them again at the coal mine a few months later.

Kim, who had been devoting herself to the society and the collective, had visited the coal mine on the occasion of the new year, upholding the Party’s intention for all the country to render active support to the coal front. However, she had felt her sincerity insufficient after personally witnessing the vibrant atmosphere of the coal mine.

She had been obsessed with the thought even after she had returned home.

That’s why she visited the coal mine again, eager to give greater strength and courage to the coal miners.

Through a single story about the family we met at the coal mine, we could get a glimpse of the features of our society where it is becoming a trend to help the coal mines both materially and mentally.

Utmost Care

On the evening of January 1, medical workers of the Tongmun Polyclinic of Taedonggang District including the head Kim Song Hui visited the house of Ri Kol, a prosthetist of the polyclinic living in Hwawon-dong No.2 in Hwasong District who is an honoured disabled soldier.

The head said that they had come to celebrate the new year together with him.

The medical workers of the polyclinic paid special attention to Ri’s life and even prepared his wedding with utmost sincerity last year.

Looking at them, Ri was moved to tears.

He was full of gratitude to the harmonious collective that devotes parental affection to him lest he should feel any inconvenience in life true to the Party’s idea of valuing and putting forward honoured disabled soldiers.
