Immortal Exploits Performed by Peerlessly Great Men in Strengthening Juche-oriented Youth League

Our youths significantly greet the ８０th founding anniversary of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League in the stirring era when the might of the youth power is being fully demonstrated to the whole world under the energetic leadership of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

The history of our country’s youth movement shines as the glorious annals in which the world example in the revolutionary youth movement was created, and the dignity and might of the Juche-oriented youth league have been fully displayed under the wise leadership of the peerlessly great men.

President Kim Il Sung united youths under the banner of the Down-with-Imperialism Union(DIU) from the first days of setting out on the road of revolution and provided the traditions of the Juche-oriented youth movement in the flames of the anti-Japanese struggle.

The President wisely led the work for rallying youths firmly behind the Party, regarding it as an important issue related to the destiny of the country. Thanks to his leadership, the democratic youth league was founded on January １７, １９４６.

Under his guidance our youths, firmly rallied around the Juche-oriented youth league, laid down their precious lives without hesitation for the country and people during the Fatherland Liberation War, fully demonstrated the mettle of Korean youths in the van of postwar reconstruction and performed world-startling miracles and feats in the socialist construction.

Chairman Kim Jong Il published the immortal classic works including "The Present Times and the Tasks Facing Young People" and "Let Us Develop Our Youth Movement to a New Higher Level" so as to clearly indicate the road ahead of the youth movement in each period and at each stage of the revolution.

The Chairman set forth the slogan "Love the young people!", instituted the Youth Day, bestowed the torch of the revolution on our youths and led them step by step to make them perform with credit the mission and duty they have assumed for the era and revolution.

Today the Korean youth movement is greeting the heyday of its development thanks to the energetic guidance of the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un.

The respected fatherly Marshal organized a great meeting of young people, indicated the important guidelines for opening up a great heyday of youth movement and honoured the youth league with the noble title of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League to let it fully display its might.

The love and trust of the respected fatherly Marshal who showed the noble example of attaching importance to the youth serve as the source of strength which trains the youth to be young frontrunners in noble traits and creators of legendary tale about heroic youth. Our young people are fully displaying their stamina and strength in the grandiose struggle for building a prosperous country.
