New Rural Villages Steadily Erected
Under the energetic leadership of the mother Party to provide our people with the happiest and most civilized life in the world, lots of farms across the country have changed their appearances splendidly.
Over １１３ ０００ cultural dwelling houses have been built in １ ８６０-odd farm villages of more than ５００ farms across the country for the past four years following the proclamation of the rural revolution programme in the new era at the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee.
Those new rural houses built in every nook and corner of the country fully demonstrating the advantages of our-style socialist system are cradles of love provided to our people by the mother Party during the eighth term of the Party Central Committee.

The adoption of the DPRK law on development of cities and counties, law on development of socialist countryside and on supplying cement to cities and counties provided a legal guarantee for implementing the Party’s policy on rural construction.
The successful implementation of the Party’s policy on rural construction is crystallization of the most ardent love for people shown by the benevolent father who brings earlier the bright future shouldering all the burdens for the sake of the people.
A foundation for powerfully pushing forward with the rural construction has been firmly laid under the leadership of the Party.
The all-people campaign for implementing the Party’s policy on rural construction has been boldly launched on a nationwide scale.
In the course of brisk promotion of rural housing construction, goals and standards for the creation have been steadily updated on a higher level.
Styles of houses have been steadily renewed under the far-reaching plan of the Party to design rural dwellings in a diverse and non-repetitive way to preserve the features of relevant regions and constantly develop them.
True to the Party’s intention to include public and production buildings as well as dwelling houses to rural construction, modern public and production buildings were newly built at several farms in different parts of the country, and thus model entities symbolic of the rapid development of the socialist countryside were provided.
The proud reality in which the countryside is undergoing a sea change since the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee is a miracle of history performed by the great Party which powerfully propels housing construction, a project greatly favoured by the people, setting it as the first major policy task, and an epitome clearly showing the comprehensive development and future of our state.
A new history of eye-opening changes in socialist rural construction will continue forever and our country will more vigorously advance towards a new victory of the comprehensive development following the wise guidance of the Party which recorded in its flag the people-first principle.
