"We Will Remain Loyal Generation after Generation", First Hymn Our People Presented

On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il, the whole country is overflowing with the ardent yearning for the great father, the peerless patriot.

Our people’s boundless admiration and ardent veneration for Chairman Kim Jong Il who was endowed with rare wisdom, outstanding leadership and noble traits and performed immortal exploits before the times and the revolution, the country and people gave birth to many hymns praising him.

Among them is also the hymn "We Will Remain Loyal Generation after Generation", which was created in １９７１.

The song which was born at a time when a grandiose era of succession was being opened up in the history of our revolution is the first hymn our people presented to the Chairman in reflection of their ardent reverence for him and firm pledge.

There are many touching stories about the Chairman, another outstanding leader, who visited posts and worksites accompanying President Kim Il Sung.

In particular, the stories about the energetic leadership ability and noble traits of the Chairman who guided in the van the work for effecting a radical turn in art and literature made our people keenly feel the greatness of the Chairman.

The creators and artistes in the art and literature sector composed the song, saying in great excitement that there should be a hymn praising the Chairman who ushered in a golden age of Juche-oriented art and literature and brought them up to be revolutionary writers and artistes as the dear leader.

When the song was finally completed, they entitled the song "We Will Remain Loyal Generation after Generation" in reflection of our people’s unanimous loyalty.

The song was sung in an official place for the first time on Feb. １６, １９７１.

On the auspicious day, the creators and artistes in the art and literature sector sang this hymn, shedding hot tears, in reflection of their ardent mind in the presence of the Chairman.

The song soon rapidly spread across the country for its great ideological and emotional influence.

Along with this song, our people’s respect and reverence for the Chairman got ever-intense.

Indeed, the first hymn presented by the people, "We Will Remain Loyal Generation after Generation", is a song of faith reflecting our people’s fervent admiration for the Chairman and the most pure single-hearted loyalty.

The song, though it has been over half a century since it was created, is resounding ever-lastingly as an echo of our people’s steadfast faith and will to uphold the idea and cause of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un with loyalty generation after generation.
