Production Line He Looked Round in Delight

At present, regional-industry factories built by the benevolence of the motherly Party engage themselves in the campaign for turning out products characteristic of their regions.

Witnessing the vibrant reality in which the regions change and prosper, we recollect a touching story associated with the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un’s field guidance at the Jangyon County Foodstuff Factory.

On December 18 last year, he personally attended the inauguration ceremony of the regional-industry factories in Jangyon County and inspected the foodstuff factory.

That day, he had a look at the beer production line arranged at the factory and learnt in detail about the production.

Then he personally tried the beer and suggested to the accompanying officials that they should also try the beer.

When the officials tried the beer, the respected General Secretary asked them how the beer tasted.

Some officials answered that the beer tasted nice and some others that it tasted bitterish.

Agreeing with them, the respected General Secretary said they should not appreciate how the beer tasted for now because the factory which started producing beer less than a month ago couldn’t produce beer as tasty as that of the Taedonggang Beer Factory.

He continued that it was laudable of them to have buckled down to beer production as barley is widely cultivated in their region.

The officials should attach greater significance to the fact that Jangyon County accepts the Party’s policy sensitively and produces even beer rather than comment on the flavor of the beer, he added.

Beer production in Jangyon County was not a practical matter but an important undertaking for implementing our Party’s policy on putting the economic resources and raw and other materials in cities and counties to effective use to develop regional industry in a comprehensive and balanced way.

As it was a precious achievement made in an effort to carry out the Party’s policy, the respected General Secretary was so pleased with it.

Looking round the officials, the respected General Secretary stressed that it was the correct execution and intensification of the Party’s policy to increase the production indices with raw materials abundant in their regions and turn out nice products conducive to the improvement of the residents’ material life.

The story still tells us that the vitality of our Party’s new regional development policy can be demonstrated to the full when regional-industry factories across the country increase the varieties of goods by preserving regional characteristics and enlisting economic potentials.
