It Should Be Habit of Great Family of Country
One day in March, ２０１５, the respected General Secretary
Having a bird’s-eye view of the construction site, the respected General Secretary instructed to build the Pyongyang Old People’s Home as a prototype equipped with all conditions for its inmates to lead a happy life free from any cares and worries so that such homes can be constructed in localities with it as a model.
We should build all the old people’s homes across the country into a happy cradle where health-seekers can spend their remaining years in happiness, thus letting them lead a worthwhile life even in their old age under the loving care of the Party, the state and the whole society, being respected as forerunners of the revolution and elders, he continued.
Looking up to him who clearly indicated solutions to all the problems arising in perfectly building the old people’s home for the sake of old people who no longer have family support, the officials were wrapped in great emotion.
That day the General Secretary said that it should be a social trait, a habit of the whole country forming a big family, to look after aged people.
The officials hardened their determination to thoroughly apply noble intention of the respected General Secretary who loves the people most in their work and practical activities.
Our Greatest Wealth
In July, ２０２４, the respected General Secretary guided the ２２nd emergency enlarged meeting of the Political Bureau of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea in the flood-afflicted area in Sinuiju City, North Phyongan Province.
Before concluding the meeting, he gave the participants a meaningful instruction that, though the current damage was severe, our people would believe that the Party and the government were sure to take rehabilitation measures, which was the greatest wealth and resource to us.
It was him who had come to the flood-stricken area and personally guided the work for the rescue of inhabitants.
What’s more, he saw that a decision of the Political Bureau of the Party Central Committee on the immediate repair of the flood damage was adopted on the train which stopped in the inundated field.
That day, the respected General Secretary told that our people’s trust in their Party and government is the true wealth which cannot be bartered even for gold.
He stressed that we had to really treasure this and live up to the people’s trust and expectations with practical action.
Keeping his ennobling intention in their minds, the officials became convinced that the song of people’s happy life will resound throughout the country for ever thanks to the benevolent father possessed of the loftiest outlook on the people.
