National Prize Contest of Mass Art Works to Be Held

A national mass art prize contest is to be held on the occasion of the ８１st founding anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

This year’s contest will bring together not only expert creators but ordinary working people.

In our country a national mass art prize contest is held regularly, thus enabling the people to become creators and enjoyers of literature and art.

This contest will mark a significant occasion of reflecting in a broad way the immortal exploits the peerlessly great men performed for strengthening and developing our Party and the stirring reality in which the struggle for achieving comprehensive socialist development is being waged.

Through the contest, many works describing the noble ideological and spiritual world of the people in our era out in the drive for implementing the Party decisions and happy life of the people will be produced.

Various forms of works including dialogic poems, poem stories, agitative stories, tabloid plays, comic stories and interludes can be contributed to the contest.

The Ministry of Culture takes scrupulous organizational measures so that the contest is held in line with the Party’s intention of making art mass-based.
