In Days of Ushering in Golden Age of Construction
To Have Remarkable Visual Effect
One day in April, 2024, the respected General Secretary
Enjoying a bird’s-eye view of the beer house with officials, he praised that its elevation was truly fantastic and it alone represented the modern architectural beauty and the charm of a beer house.
A decoration portraying a foamy beer jug and columns in the shape of Taedonggang beer bottles…
At first, the elevation of the beer house was not designed like this.
The peculiar appearance of the beer house is unthinkable apart from the guidance of the respected General Secretary who looked at its formation plan for several times and saw that a foamy beer jug and beer bottles were described in order for people to notice the beer house at a glance even at a distance.
Presently, the respected General Secretary stressed that the beer house had the strongest visual effect among architectural structures in our country. In the future, the entrance of commercial service facilities arranged on the ground floor of high-rise buildings should be finished to have as much visual effect as the Hwasong Taedonggang Beer House, so that passers-by might want to drop in at them, he added.
Listening to his instructions, the officials became more convinced that the wealth of the people symbolic of the times will increase day by day under the noble intention of the great father who tries to design and build every single building for the people into the best one representative of modern civilization.
Giving Precedence to People’s Convenience
One day in September, 2025, the respected General Secretary visited the Pyongyang General Hospital nearing its inauguration.
He went round various places of the hospital and learnt in detail about the interior finish of the hospital and preparations for medical service. He said that there should be no slightest defect in the hospital as it was aimed at making our people enjoy the benefits of modern medical service.
That day the respected General Secretary paid deep attention to the issue of ensuring people’s convenience.
He also toured public service facilities in the hospital including a shop and restaurant.
Saying that the hospital should sell goods such as daily necessities to patients and provide IT service to them as well, he gave detailed instructions.
Looking up to him, officials were wrapped in great emotion.
Just a few months before, the General Secretary had visited the completed Pyongyang General Hospital and taught ways for making underground park lot convenient to use for the visitors to the hospital.
Indeed, the Pyongyang General Hospital is a symbol of socialist public health built on this land thanks to the attentive and warm loving care of the great father who intends to provide the people with a magnificent hospital where all the elements of architecture thoroughly embody the principle of giving priority to convenience and aesthetic beauty as a gift.
That day the General Secretary took a measure for installing TVs in intensive care units so that recovering patients could watch TV lying in their beds.
The General Secretary’s field guidance that day served as a significant occasion that once again implanted in the minds of the officials the iron truth that all our buildings should be designed and built from the standpoint of prioritizing people’s convenience.
