Story Conveyed by a Famous Song

One day in January, 2020, the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un, who met with officials, brought to topic the song "We Have Planted Apple Trees on Mountains" which had been put on the stage of the performance celebrating the lunar New Year’s Day.

Looking around the officials, he mentioned that the song "We Have Planted Apple Trees on Mountains" was truly a nice one.

Listening to him, the officials recollected the day when the song was born tens of years ago.

At that time, our country was undergoing transformation under the wise guidance of President Kim Il Sung, people’s happiness blooming everywhere, in cities, in the countryside and even in remote mountains, and people’s laughter resounding like songs.

Presently, the respected General Secretary earnestly said that this song always made him harden his will to turn ours into a socialist paradise as desired by the President and feel greater passion to make revolution to the end.

He then added that it was no exaggeration to say that he had made revolution so far, singing that song.

The officials could remind themselves of the instructions of the respected General Secretary given in September, 2017.

At that time, he praised that the song "We Have Planted Apple Trees on Mountains", widely sung in South Hamgyong Province where the new history of turning the whole country into an orchard had begun, was really good and we had to fill the whole country with the people’s laughter of happiness and joy by pushing ahead with the three fronts of "gold" mountains, "gold" fields and "gold" seas, which symbolized the advantages of our style of socialism.

Indeed, the respected General Secretary has braved the thorny path of revolution singing the song with a far-reaching plan to build a socialist paradise on this land for the people he holds so dear in his heart.

That day, the officials became more convinced that people’s laughter and happiness will remain in full bloom forever along with the song "We Have Planted Apple Trees on Mountains" thanks to the wise guidance of the respected General Secretary holding fast to people-first politics.
