Traces of Love He Left in Ojok Islet

Officials felt uneasy as the car of the General Secretary entered the temporary bridge over the Amnok River.

At the construction site he had a bird’s-eye view of the dwelling houses under construction for a while.

He said that he always had a heavy heart for the memory of the heart-rending sight of the flooded villages he had seen just some months before, but now he is really pleased to see sturdy banks and rural houses of various urban styles rising up competitively as they boast of their original.

When he dropped in at a dwelling house, the General Secretary expressed satisfaction, saying that the house structure was good and it was designed to be convenient for use.

Indeed, the General Secretary sees to it that only the most wonderful and perfect creations are erected on this land, making the arduous journey for the sake of the people.

Absolute Criterion of Creation and Construction

One day in February last year, the respected General Secretary visited the completed Pyongyang General Hospital.

At that time, there were lots of columns in the underground car park.

The respected General Secretary taught the ways for rectifying the shortcoming in consideration of the inconvenience the people coming to the hospital might feel using the car park.

The officials in charge of construction had never thought the columns might cause inconvenience to the users.

They followed the respected General Secretary, keenly feeling his attentive care for the people.

When he dropped in at the restaurant on the 7th floor, he taught that the interior of hospitals was supposed to be arranged with lots of flowers symbolizing the recovery of health and the recuperation of patients.

That day, he stressed that they should not rest on their laurels, satisfied with the tens of modern operating rooms, but exert every sincere effort on treatment, thus making actual contributions to defending the life and health of the people.

Listening to his instructions, the officials became full of excitement.

The absolute criterion of creation and construction cherished by the respected General Secretary is none other than the demands, aspirations and convenience of the people.

All the creations on this land are shining as wealth for the people and flawless monuments of the times as they are built by such ennobling intention.
