The President put forward a famous proposition that to love future just means to love children and bestowed all manner of love and benevolence on rising generations.

On October １０, １９５７, the significant day marking １２th founding anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, the President, who was on his journey for field guidance at North Phyongan Province, was passing by Tongju-ri in Pyokdong County, against the River Amnok on a boat.
That very moment, some children cheered toward the boat at a riverside pavilion.
They were pupils of Tongju-ri who came to meet him even at a distance after hearing the news of his arrival.
As the President waved back to them, the children rushed toward the riverside, shouting for joy.
The President asked them what they wanted to be in the future when they have grown up, warmly stroking their heads.
Looking at children who were answering in a competitive way, the President supported their wishes with a hearty laugh.
Officials told him that it was already the time he had left.
But the President suggested taking a picture of the children before sunset.
He went to the lawn with the children wrapped in great happiness and personally placed one by one in their seats.
When the children began to scatter after the photo session, he again called them and offered to take their photo in person.
That day the President promised the children to send photos without fail.
A few days later, the President sent photos to children as promised.
Like this, the President loved the children most.
