GFSTK Marks Its 80th Founding Anniversary

The General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea marked its ８０th founding anniversary.

President Kim Il Sung saw to it that a mass organization of scientists and technicians was formed. And he indicated the duty of the general federation and the ways for carrying it out and led intellectuals to make a tangible contribution to the building of new Korea.

Chairman Kim Jong Il provided important guidelines for enhancing the functions and role of the general federation.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un took trustworthy measures to make sure that the general federation fulfill its mission in the struggle for pioneering the period of the comprehensive development of socialism and led it to dynamically propel the development of the country’s economy and the improvement of the people’s living standards by launching a more extensive mass technological innovation movement.

Over the past ８０ years, the general federation has fully demonstrated the validity and vitality of the Party’s policy on science and technology under the great loving care and trust of the peerlessly great men.

A commemorative meeting was held at the People’s Palace of Culture on April １３.

Present there were Kim Sung Du, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, Jon Sung Guk, vice-premier of the Cabinet, Kim Song Bin, chairman of the GFSTK Central Committee who is concurrently chairman of the State Commission of Science and Technology, and officials, scientists and technicians of the general federation.
