Celebration Meeting of Agricultural Workers in DPRK

Agricultural workers and members of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea met on April １４ to celebrate the １１４th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.

Present at the meeting were Min Sung Chol, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, officials of the UAWK and agricultural workers in Pyongyang.

Han Jong Hyok, chairman of the UAWK Central Committee, made a report to be followed by speeches.

The reporter and speakers referred to the fact that President Kim Il Sung, who embarked on the road of the revolution in his early years, founded the immortal Juche idea to usher in a new era in which the popular masses, who had been disregarded in history for a long time, emerged as the powerful driving force carving out their destiny independently and creatively.

They said that the wise leadership of the President, who ceaselessly toured farms across the country and personally taught the Juche farming method, was the driving force enabling ordinary agricultural workers and members of the UAWK to be staunch rural revolutionaries and patriotic peasants and follow only the road of loyalty.

The President’s patriotic desire for a powerful country is now being translated into brilliant reality on this land under the wise guidance of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, they stressed.

They called upon all the agricultural workers and members of the UAWK to thoroughly carry out the important tasks for the agricultural sector set forth at the Ninth WPK Congress by redoubling their patriotic enthusiasm and self-confidence.

The reporter and speakers expressed their determination to fulfill their responsibility and role as masters responsible for the granary of the country in the ongoing solemn struggle for implementing the decisions of the Party Congress.
