Both Sections of DPRK-Russia Border Motor Bridge Connected

The project for connecting both sections of the DPRK-Russia border motor bridge was successfully carried out on April ２１.

The construction of the DPRK-Russia border motor bridge being conducted under an agreement reached at the historic DPRK-Russia Pyongyang summit is an important undertaking to provide a substantial guarantee for laying down and reinforcing the important infrastructure for economic cooperation and vitalizing the bilateral cooperation including travel of persons, tourism and circulation of commodities in a many sided way.

The motor bridge was connected in a short period of one year after the start of the project and will soon greet the day of inauguration, thus making it possible to strengthen the friendly and good-neighborly relations between the peoples of the two countries and further develop the cooperation.

Both sides are now pushing ahead at the final stage with the work to complete and open the DPRK-Russia border motor bridge at an early date.
