Russian Delegation Visits Liberation Tower

A delegation of the Ministry of Interior of the Russian Federation led by Minister Vladimir Kolokoltev laid a wreath at the Liberation Tower on April ２２.

Present there were Kim Song Nam, vice-minister of Public Security of the DPRK, and Vladimir Topeha, charge d’affaires ad interim of the Russian embassy here.

The guard of honor of the Korean People’s Army lined up at the tower.

The national anthems of the Russian Federation and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea were played.

A wreath in the name of the minister of Interior of the Russian Federation was placed at the tower amid the playing of wreath-laying music.

The participants paid silent tribute to the fallen martyrs of the Soviet Army before looking round the tower.

Then they visited the cemetery of fallen fighters of the Soviet Army in Sadong District to lay a wreath and flowers.
