Undying Soul Which Makes Our Army Ever-strong and Display Its Dignity

All our people significantly greet the 94th founding anniversary of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army (KPRA). They impressively recollect the precious ideological and mental heritage left by the anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners.

The precious spirit was created during the arduous anti-Japanese war along with the foundation of the KPRA. It is the most precious ideological and mental asset and undying soul making us ever-strong and display dignity. It is the pillar of our faith helping us dauntlessly make the revolution to the end, the tonic warming up our revolutionary enthusiasm for struggle and powerful motive force encouraging us to advance overcoming all trials.

Anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters created the great death-defying spirit for defending the leader in the snowstorm of Mt Paektu as they kept in their minds the faith that following President Kim Il Sung guaranteed the most worthwhile life and victory.

Among the genuine loyalists is a fighter who cut his tongue with his teeth to defend security of the headquarters of revolution. And many others unhesitatingly dedicated their lives to defending idea and dignity of the leader and perfectly carried out the leader’s order in any case. These are sublime images of the anti-Japanese guerillas recorded in the first page of our revolution.

Once, President Kim Il Sung recollected as follows:

Why was the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army so strong? When I am asked this question, I answer that it was because the army was a great mass, kept together through obligation. Had our unity not been based on morality and obligation, and on the pure community of ideology and will, we could not have been so strong.

The first generation fighters of our revolution were indomitable ones and optimists who were not disappointed in any ordeals beyond one’s imagination picturing the victory of the Korean revolution.

The ardent love for the future was the source of strength, which made them uphold the red flag of the revolution although they were in the grip of feminine, and the mental pillar, which helped them firmly defend the dignity and fidelity as revolutionaries even at the death’s door.

Now we are faced with the mission to keep in mind the noble revolutionary spirit of the anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners as undying soul making us ever-strong and display dignity.

There is nothing impossible to do when we struggle and work in the spirit of the anti-Japanese forerunners with their guts and courage.

Our socialist cause will be ever-victorious as long as all our people equip with the noble soul of the revolutionary forerunners and the revolutionary armed forces which inherited the excellent traditions stand in the van of the revolution as entity possessing the strength of our state and people.
